  • WOW… just, WOW!!! My experience trekking the Manaslu Circuit in May 2025 with Himalayan Trails (HT) was above & beyond a 5-star experience. From the pre-trek on-line communication with Grishma who helped to tailor my trek so that I was able to visit and stay at out of the way monasteries, to the exquisite guidance, support and comraderie I experienced with Mingma Sherpa (25+ yrs of guiding and trekking in the Himalayas) & Nuru Sherpa (porter with a heart of pure gold) — my 17 day trek was an experience, a pilgrimage really, that went beyond what I could’ve dared dream it might be! I felt expertly guided, informed, cared for and supported throughout the entire process (pre & post trek included). I also feel that it’s important to work with a trekking outfit that cares for and pays it’s guides and porters well & responsibly — Lonely Planet lists HT as just such a company and it is clear to me that they live up to that endorsement. I plan on making many future treks in Nepal — Mustang, Tsum & others — and I will most definitely continue to work with the Himalayan Trails team. I couldn’t recommend them more strongly!     Himalayan Trails went above and beyond to make our trip seamless and memorable. Their attention to detail, friendly service, and passion for Nepal set them apart. When a natural disaster meant amendments to our trek were required, they ensured we were safe and still got to see the highlights of the amazing Himalayas.   • I just finished my second trip with Himalayan Trails, and it was just as epic as the first in 2019. Across both trips (first trekking in Solukhumbu, and then motorbiking to Mustang this time), the itinerary, the food+ activities, the scenery and the crew have been fantastic. The company is ethical, sustainable, knowledgeable and fun, and the crew mirror this. We went as a family group of 12, crossing 3 generations, and both times they worked with us to make sure everyone had a great experience, including our 70+ yr old 'Umma'. A huge thank you for 2 'trips of a lifetime' 🙏

    We had the most amazing honeymoon, thanks to Himalayan Trails. Amanda was so helpful in the months leading up to the trip and organised a trek in Langtang Valley and then some days in Sarangkot. When we arrived in Nepal we were looked after every step of the way. Thank you to Amanda, Raj, Suman, Prokas and everyone else involved. You really made our trip memorable. We will be back!

    Through the Kimkim platform, Himalayan Trails (HT) planned and coordinated a 2 week trip from Beijing to Kathmandu for my US based daughter and I. Having traveled extensively to more than 40+ countries, we had a very positive experience working with HT. Key reasons: - timely and thorough communication before, during, and after the trip - experienced staff that were nuanced in their understanding of important details - demonstrated flexibility in modifying the schedule to accommodate personal preferences - effective use of local guides/resources that are very personable and knowledgeable of the location and key attractions - the entire team is focused on ensuring client satisfaction I highly endorse HT's services, even for the most discriminating clients.

  • Perfekte Organisation und voll auf unsere Bedürfnisse zugeschnittene Tour. Wir waren 10 Tage im Langtang Gebiet und Gosaikunda unterwegs. Die Vorbetreuung durch Amanda und das Vorgespräch mit Raj waren optimal. Unser Guide (Kesap) kümmerte sich rührend um uns und wusste auf all unsere vielen Fragen eine Antwort. Er bereitete uns hervorragend auf den jeweiligen kommen Tag vor und organisierte alles perfekt rund um jedes Teehaus. Unser Träger (Dipak) war immer bei uns, unterstütze uns immer als „Nachhut“ und stand uns bei ebenfalls dauernd zur Verfügung. Wir konnten uns einfach auf die Landschaft, die Leute, die Höhe einlassen. Eine Traumtour, trotz teilweise schlechten Wetters. Wir würden sofort wieder Himalayan Trails wählen. Vielen Dank für die wunderschönen Tage!

    The most professional and well-run trekking company I've ever trekked with in Nepal. From start to end we felt taken care of, well informed and in good hands. Our guide was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area we were trekking in (he is from the area), as well as the local culture and traditions. We were trekking with children aged 7 and 9, and he was able to make route adjustments when needed for tired legs. The kids made a big friend. The lodges were all great, it was a really nice diverse trek with gorgeous mountains and rich culture, even with a stay at a Buddhist Monastery. The driver who drove us to and from the trek was very good and despite the many bad roads in Nepal he drove us safely and comfortably around.

    Truly a trip of a lifetime. Once we had decided to spend a month exploring Nepal, we pretty well handed the organisation on to Mads and the team at Himalayan Trails and never looked back. The passion and professionalism with which every aspect of our trip was planned and executed was absolutely top rate, leaving us to soak up the whole experience of extraordinary people and places, stress free. Our guides were not only extremely knowledgeable and experienced, but excellent company and the accommodation, when not trekking, always exceeded our expectations. We will never forget the exhilaration of walking in those mountains, especially on the crisp, clear day we crossed the Larke Pass on the Manaslu circuit with the dawning sun painting the mountains golden. Our wildlife safaris in both Suklaphanta and Bardia National Park again exceeded expectations, not just in terms of the amazing wildlife (yes we did see two Bengal Tigers!) but again the expertise and professionalism of the guides and excellent accommodation. I cant recommend Himalayan Trails highly enough and are already planning our next trek with them. Thanks again to the whole team for making the memories from this bucket list trip ones to cherish.
