    Myself and my two uncles did an extended version of the Tsum Valley and Manaslu trek and up through Larke Pass. Everything was so well organised, we barely had to think about anything other than what we wanted to eat! The guide and porter that travelled with us were so lovely, caring, accommodating and skilled at what they do. The trek itself was challenging and so beautiful, we often found ourselves on a lesser-known trail that was a great and beautiful alternative to some of the crowded sections of the Manaslu Circuit. We had time to do short side trips on rest days during the trek, in which some of my favourite memories were made- such as trekking up to the Tibetan Border at 5300m! We visited many Gumpas along the way which was so special. The local people welcomed us warmly at every place we went. The weather was absolutely perfect for the trek from Dharmasala up to Larke Pass rounding off the trek perfectly. The staff working in the office at Himalayan Trails are all so lovely and helpful, and are a pleasure to spend a little time with if you have extra time and they aren’t too busy. I will definitely be using Himalayan Trails for my next trip to Nepal! Love, Anusha

  • I just finished my second trip with Himalayan Trails, and it was just as epic as the first in 2019. Across both trips (first trekking in Solukhumbu, and then motorbiking to Mustang this time), the itinerary, the food+ activities, the scenery and the crew have been fantastic. The company is ethical, sustainable, knowledgeable and fun, and the crew mirror this. We went as a family group of 12, crossing 3 generations, and both times they worked with us to make sure everyone had a great experience, including our 70+ yr old 'Umma'. A huge thank you for 2 'trips of a lifetime' 🙏

    Through the Kimkim platform, Himalayan Trails (HT) planned and coordinated a 2 week trip from Beijing to Kathmandu for my US based daughter and I. Having traveled extensively to more than 40+ countries, we had a very positive experience working with HT. Key reasons: - timely and thorough communication before, during, and after the trip - experienced staff that were nuanced in their understanding of important details - demonstrated flexibility in modifying the schedule to accommodate personal preferences - effective use of local guides/resources that are very personable and knowledgeable of the location and key attractions - the entire team is focused on ensuring client satisfaction I highly endorse HT's services, even for the most discriminating clients.

    WOW… just, WOW!!! My experience trekking the Manaslu Circuit in May 2025 with Himalayan Trails (HT) was above & beyond a 5-star experience. From the pre-trek on-line communication with Grishma who helped to tailor my trek so that I was able to visit and stay at out of the way monasteries, to the exquisite guidance, support and comraderie I experienced with Mingma Sherpa (25+ yrs of guiding and trekking in the Himalayas) & Nuru Sherpa (porter with a heart of pure gold) — my 17 day trek was an experience, a pilgrimage really, that went beyond what I could’ve dared dream it might be! I felt expertly guided, informed, cared for and supported throughout the entire process (pre & post trek included). I also feel that it’s important to work with a trekking outfit that cares for and pays it’s guides and porters well & responsibly — Lonely Planet lists HT as just such a company and it is clear to me that they live up to that endorsement. I plan on making many future treks in Nepal — Mustang, Tsum & others — and I will most definitely continue to work with the Himalayan Trails team. I couldn’t recommend them more strongly!   • I was genuinely excited about this trip, as it was my first solo adventure. Despite the unexpected circumstances I encountered upon arriving in Nepal, my guides were attentive and dedicated, going above and beyond to ensure I had a great experience and could stick to my itinerary.     Our pre-season 14-day trekking adventure (Nar, Phu, Tilicho Lake, Annapurna Circuit) was deeply moving, spectacular, and magical. This was largely thanks to the attentive and fantastic guidance of Bire (guide) and Taj (porter), as well as the professional and compassionate support from the Himalayan Trails office team, especially Amanda and Raj. Everything went perfectly - communication before, during, and after the trip was immediate, excellent, and caring. Questions were answered quickly, and we received valuable information about daily matters, culture, the mountain environment, and so on, along with excellent orientation and briefings throughout the trek. For our next trekking trip in Nepal, we would definitely choose Himalayan Trails again, especially since they are also very committed to sustainability.
