    Truly a trip of a lifetime. Once we had decided to spend a month exploring Nepal, we pretty well handed the organisation on to Mads and the team at Himalayan Trails and never looked back. The passion and professionalism with which every aspect of our trip was planned and executed was absolutely top rate, leaving us to soak up the whole experience of extraordinary people and places, stress free. Our guides were not only extremely knowledgeable and experienced, but excellent company and the accommodation, when not trekking, always exceeded our expectations. We will never forget the exhilaration of walking in those mountains, especially on the crisp, clear day we crossed the Larke Pass on the Manaslu circuit with the dawning sun painting the mountains golden. Our wildlife safaris in both Suklaphanta and Bardia National Park again exceeded expectations, not just in terms of the amazing wildlife (yes we did see two Bengal Tigers!) but again the expertise and professionalism of the guides and excellent accommodation. I cant recommend Himalayan Trails highly enough and are already planning our next trek with them. Thanks again to the whole team for making the memories from this bucket list trip ones to cherish.

    Perfekte Organisation und voll auf unsere Bedürfnisse zugeschnittene Tour. Wir waren 10 Tage im Langtang Gebiet und Gosaikunda unterwegs. Die Vorbetreuung durch Amanda und das Vorgespräch mit Raj waren optimal. Unser Guide (Kesap) kümmerte sich rührend um uns und wusste auf all unsere vielen Fragen eine Antwort. Er bereitete uns hervorragend auf den jeweiligen kommen Tag vor und organisierte alles perfekt rund um jedes Teehaus. Unser Träger (Dipak) war immer bei uns, unterstütze uns immer als „Nachhut“ und stand uns bei ebenfalls dauernd zur Verfügung. Wir konnten uns einfach auf die Landschaft, die Leute, die Höhe einlassen. Eine Traumtour, trotz teilweise schlechten Wetters. Wir würden sofort wieder Himalayan Trails wählen. Vielen Dank für die wunderschönen Tage!

  • I just finished my second trip with Himalayan Trails, and it was just as epic as the first in 2019. Across both trips (first trekking in Solukhumbu, and then motorbiking to Mustang this time), the itinerary, the food+ activities, the scenery and the crew have been fantastic. The company is ethical, sustainable, knowledgeable and fun, and the crew mirror this. We went as a family group of 12, crossing 3 generations, and both times they worked with us to make sure everyone had a great experience, including our 70+ yr old 'Umma'. A huge thank you for 2 'trips of a lifetime' 🙏

    Nepal – A Land That Stole Our Hearts, and a Team That Made It Unforgettable and Became Family We recently completed a once-in-a-lifetime motorcycle journey through Nepal, from the white-water thrills of Trisuli to the raw beauty of Upper Mustang. What made this adventure truly exceptional was the incredible team at Himalayan Trails Awesome Treks & Expedition Pvt. Ltd. From the outset, Mads crafted a tailor-made itinerary that balanced thrill, culture, comfort, and surprise perfectly—rafting, riding, and resting in some of the most stunning and authentic locations Nepal has to offer. The accommodations and meals throughout were well thought out and far exceeded our expectations. Special thanks to: Raj, for flawlessly leading the operations and making everything run seamlessly behind the scenes. Goofy Da, our unstoppable group ride captain—full of joy, patience, and unwavering support no matter how unreasonable our requests were. Always smiling, always delivering. Mahesh, our “Chief Mechanic”, who kept every bike ride-ready, even if it meant fixing them late into the night with bamboo, rocks, or pure ingenuity. Kaushik and Suresh Da, who drove our 4x4 support vehicles like pros through mud, rocks, rivers, and chaos—never spilling a single snack! Ritesh Ji, who led the broader support team with grace and calm, always ready to adjust plans and care for us with kindness and a smile. The professionalism, passion, and genuine care shown by this team turned our trip into something truly meaningful. They didn’t just provide a service—they became part of our story. If you're thinking of exploring Nepal—especially by motorbike or off-the-beaten-path adventures—I cannot recommend Himalayan Trails highly enough. This is not your average tour company.   • We had the most amazing honeymoon, thanks to Himalayan Trails. Amanda was so helpful in the months leading up to the trip and organised a trek in Langtang Valley and then some days in Sarangkot. When we arrived in Nepal we were looked after every step of the way. Thank you to Amanda, Raj, Suman, Prokas and everyone else involved. You really made our trip memorable. We will be back!

    WOW… just, WOW!!! My experience trekking the Manaslu Circuit in May 2025 with Himalayan Trails (HT) was above & beyond a 5-star experience. From the pre-trek on-line communication with Grishma who helped to tailor my trek so that I was able to visit and stay at out of the way monasteries, to the exquisite guidance, support and comraderie I experienced with Mingma Sherpa (25+ yrs of guiding and trekking in the Himalayas) & Nuru Sherpa (porter with a heart of pure gold) — my 17 day trek was an experience, a pilgrimage really, that went beyond what I could’ve dared dream it might be! I felt expertly guided, informed, cared for and supported throughout the entire process (pre & post trek included). I also feel that it’s important to work with a trekking outfit that cares for and pays it’s guides and porters well & responsibly — Lonely Planet lists HT as just such a company and it is clear to me that they live up to that endorsement. I plan on making many future treks in Nepal — Mustang, Tsum & others — and I will most definitely continue to work with the Himalayan Trails team. I couldn’t recommend them more strongly! Himalayan Trails – Professional Guide Training 202 Himalayan Trails – Professional Guide Training 2026 We recently conducted a three-day Professional Guide Training in Kathmandu Valley as part of our continued commitment to maintaining high professional standards. The training, led by Ms. Jo Chaffer, focused on strengthening both technical skills and professional mindset. Our guides refreshed their knowledge on delivering effective briefings, working with maps, risk assessment, decision-making, and safely managing groups on challenging terrain. Special emphasis was also placed on proactive communication and following Himalayan Trails protocols, especially when situations become difficult in the mountains. It was truly encouraging to see the enthusiasm and active participation from all our guides — from senior members with decades of experience to our newer and aspiring guides. We sincerely thank Jo for dedicating her valuable time and sharing her expertise with our team.
