Pokhara is the gateway to one of the most famous trekking areas in the world, the Annapurna region. It is possible to go on treks lasting up to three weeks in this area, but this beautiful city also offers some incredible day hikes for those short on time.

This hike from Sarangkot to Naundanda is one of the very best hiking trails near Pokhara. Our guide will meet us early in the morning for the hour-ling drive to Sarangkot. This village is situated on top of a hill just north of Phewa Lake, and offers incredible views of sunrise and sunset over the panoramic ranges of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machapuchare and Ganesh Himal. There is also the incredible vista of Phewa Lake and Pokhara in the distance, giving us incredible 360 degree views from this spectacular location. After a relaxed breakfast in a nearby teahouse, we will start our hike towards Naundana. The three of four hour walk will treat us to incredible mountain views, village activities and the impressive terraces that cover almost every hillside. Upon reaching Naundanda our driver will be waiting to drive us back to Pokhara.
